1. Education of geotechnical engineers, researchers and foundation professionals about recent progress in experimental research and its integration into design practice
2. Enablement of an advanced and economical design through the availability of test data that help guide and improve the design and construction around the world
3. Providing the state of the art assessment along with an educating component of limitations in existing p-y curves that is extremely beneficial to the practicing and researching geotechnical communities
4. Strengthening of the deep foundation community by providing a platform for intellectual exchange and visibility
